Symptoms
Manganese deficiency causes yellow-green intercostal chlorosis on young and medium old leaves. Green veins give the leaf surface a netlike appearance.
Zinc undersupply causes chlorosis on both younger and older leaves. Veins and the serrated leaf margins remain green.
Reasons
Manganese and zinc deficiency
Deficiencies of both micronutrients occur often in some regions, occasionally even at the same time. They are hard to distinguish without further testing.
Iron deficiency can be a reason for chlorosis on the youngest leaves, while magnesium undersupply causes chloroses on older leaves.
Strawberries - Chlorosis
Symptoms
With Zinc undersupply the leaves show interveinal or uniform chlorosis. The marginal area of older leaves is often diffusely tinted bronze to orange.
Reasons
Zinc deficiency
Manganese deficient leaves develop a similar chlorosis, but leaf veins are more highlightened and margins do not show a reddish discoloration. Chloroses due to magnesium undersupply occur on older leaves first.

Strawberries - Chlorosis
Symptoms
Manganese deficiency causes yellow-green intercostal chlorosis on leaves. Especially the medium aged, large leaves show distinct dark green veins and leaf margins. With Zinc undersupply the leaves also show interveinal chlorosis, but the veins are less highlighted. The marginal area of older leaves is often diffusely tinted bronze to orange.
Reasons
Zinc deficiency (right) compared to manganese deficiency (left)
